Educational robots by age: three starting points

BotsMarket编辑组. · 我们的核查方法 · 核查日期:

Choose an activity before choosing a robot: physical sequencing, app-based coding or building and programming. Age labels are starting points; reading ability, adult help and the available device matter too.

Three different learning paths

Sphero presents indi for ages 4+ with screen-free colour-based activities. Mini uses app-based activities; Sphero recommends adult supervision below age 8 because its removable shell exposes small parts. Makeblock recommends adult help below age 8 for mBot2. Our 8+ grouping below is an editorial starting point, not a substitute for the exact kit’s safety instructions.

What should be in the budget?

Include the robot, required device, charging equipment, replacement parts and any learning materials that are not in the box. A classroom pack and a single learner kit are not equivalent offers. Before ordering, try the required app on the device you intend to use.

For a first session, choose a short goal: make indi follow a colour sequence, guide Mini through a marked route, or program mBot2 to react to a sensor. A repeatable activity is more useful than a long list of advertised functions.
